The Role
Cairnbrogie Farm is a working farm, tourism destination and residential community in Plettenberg Bay, home to Cairnbrogie Village, Storm Watch village and a growing collection of guest accommodation. We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team and ensure every guest, resident and visitor experiences clean, safe and welcoming facilities that reflect our reputation for genuine farm hospitality.
As the Housekeeping Supervisor, you'll oversee all housekeeping across all Cairnbrogie's accommodation, public amenities and shared facilities, and you will lead the housekeeping team. You'll report primarily to the Main Office Administration Manager.
What You'll Be Doing
- Ensuring every accommodation unit is spotless, fully equipped and guest-ready before arrival
- Managing public and guest facilities so they stay clean, hygienic and welcoming
- Setting and monitoring housekeeping standards, from daily cleaning to seasonal deep cleans
- Running laundry and linen operations, including stock levels and contractors
- Training, scheduling and leading the housekeeping team
- Controlling inventory of cleaning supplies, linen and guest consumables
- Identify and reporting maintenance issues promptly to the Maintenance Manager
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health, hygiene and safety standards, including safe chemical handling
- Supporting responsible waste management and sustainable practices
- Coordinating housekeeping for farm events, functions and peak tourism periods
What We're Looking For
- Work experience in housekeeping in hotels, guest houses, lodges or similar hospitality settings would be an advantage
- Previous supervisory experience is essential
- A Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality, Housekeeping, Tourism, Hotel Management or Facilities Management is preferred, relevant experience will also be considered
- Strong leadership, organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals, laundry systems, stock management and Occupational Health & Safety requirements
- Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure, with high personal standards of professionalism
