You'll report directly to the CEO, supervise a small maintenance team and manage contractors for specialist work.
What You'll Be Doing
- Maintaining all farm infrastructure including farm roads, buildings, accommodation, fencing, water and drainage systems
- Coordinating maintenance of dairy buildings, milking parlour and yard infrastructure
- Keeping guest accommodation in excellent condition through inspections, minor repairs and general upkeep
- Maintaining bike trails, hiking routes, bridges, boardwalks and trail signage
- Looking after pumps, water storage, irrigation and reticulation systems
- Running a safe, organised workshop with tools, spare parts and stock control
- Coordinating servicing for farm vehicles, machinery and equipment
- Building and maintaining a preventative maintenance plan and accurate records
- Sourcing quotes and supervising contractors for specialist or licensed work
- Supervising and training maintenance staff
- Responding to guest requests and emergencies such as power outages, storm damage or flooding
What We're Looking For

- Working knowledge of general building maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, basic electrical fault-finding, welding, pumps and irrigation
- Experience in agriculture, dairy farming, hospitality, property or tourism facilities is an advantage
- Strong organisational skills, practical problem-solving and the ability to manage contractors and budgets
