Job Description
Do you enjoy looking after people and want a career in hospitality? As the Hospitality Intern at Quartet Retirement Village you’ll work in housekeeping, the kitchen and front of house, with practical training and monthly feedback.
What you’ll do
- Welcome residents, their families and guests warmly, and build genuine connections with them
- Clean and maintain rooms and common areas to a high standard, following daily, weekly, monthly and deep-clean routines
- Use cleaning materials correctly, and complete laundry and ironing
- Help with food preparation, portion control, and receiving and rotating stock
- Take part in stock-takes, and handle waste correctly
- Open and close the kitchen and restaurant, and set up tables and the room
- Serve guests in the restaurant and bar with professional etiquette, and set the room’s ambience
- Follow up on resident and guest requests, and close every interaction professionally and warmly
Key Requirements
- Minimum Grade 9
- A warm, friendly and positive attitude
- Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
- Takes pride in a clean, tidy and professional standard of work
- Able to work on your feet and as part of a team
